Meet Amy and Kim

Two creatives who never learned how to play it safe.

Thread Original started as a side conversation about design, beauty, and the stuff we actually use every day — and turned into a full-on brand built for people who don’t blend in.

Amy’s the visual one. Born in Chicago, graduated from Brooks Institute in California, she built her career styling and art-directing commercial shoots across L.A. and New York. Always chasing the idea, the light, the feeling. That restless eye for detail still drives everything we make.

Kim’s the beauty one. Columbia College grad with a photography degree, but her real canvas was the cosmetic world. Seventeen years at Urban Decay Cosmetics taught her how to lead, build, and brand with guts — edgy, real, and never trying too hard.

Together, we stitched that world — design, fashion, function, attitude — into Thread Original.
